Ah, Los Angeles – whether you know it as the City of Angels, LaLa Land, or simply the beach version of New York, there is something about the city that keeps 4 million people here, and thousands visiting each year. It’s a place where the possibility of becoming something more than yourself is always in the air, and it is from that that TEDxLA built.
Walking into the Dolby Theater next to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the sheer magnitude of people was astounding. An all day event, from 8am to 6pm, we listened to everyone from an MIT Scientist, to a Hollywood director, to the first Iranian women in space. Nearly all the speakers brought up the future of Al, and all of them showed their imagination and dreams for tomorrow.
It was an exciting event to attend, and I’m so glad I was invited. It taught me a lot of things to look out for, in order to make TEDxYouth@AlamitosBay a success. We might not have the star power of LA – but when you come to our event, on March 25th, you’ll be amazed at what we have to offer.
